Our team here at Copperstate is here to help and make that transition as smooth and seamless as possible! We have put together a moving timeline checklist for our customers to break down the timeline and the essentials for their next move!

Easy Moving Checklist: A Guide to Help You Plan

Whether you are moving down the street, across town, or out of state – we are here to help! This is an easy moving checklist and timeline that can be a helpful tool to use when starting the moving process. Time will be at a premium on the days leading up to your big move, but we hope that following this checklist when you move can provide some organization and peace of mind. o.

3 – 4 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR MOVE

1 – 2 WEEKS BEFORE YOUR MOVE

THE WEEK OF THE MOVE

  • For this stop on our easy-moving checklist, mail your change of address cards if you do not fill out the online form.
  • Finish any last-minute cleaning of your home before move-in day. If you are packing your own items, finish packing up the final items that you will not need until after you move into your new home. Having everything packed up prior to our mover's arrival will help to save time on the day of your move.

ONE DAY BEFORE YOUR MOVE

  • Have all refrigerated and freezer items stored in plastic zip-lock bags that are easily accessible and can be packed in coolers and kept cold.
  • Make sure all electronics and cords are disconnected and set in a designated box along with any remote controls to ensure that they are easily accessible the day of the move if needed.
  • Make sure to get those last goodbye in with your neighbors!

DAY OF YOUR MOVE

  • If possible, use a floor plan of your new home to map out with our movers where you want your items. A Copperstate Team Lead will be on-sight with the crew and will take care of any questions or concerns that you may have.
  • Have a cooler ready to put in your items from your refrigeration and your freezer.
  • Double-check closets, cabinets, storage areas, and any other space that could have any last-minute items.
  • After everything is moved from your space, do a final walk-through with our Team Lead to make sure everything was accounted for.
  • Be prepared to pay for the services completed by our Copperstate Team. We accept cash, check or credit cards. Our Team Lead will be responsible from collecting any payment from you.
